It will be hard for peace to break into mainstream society. First we have to break down the barriers that determine what the media thinks people want to see and hear and be told. The Internet can help this to happen.

Cyberspace is a free environment of instantaneous sharing. If we use it as a vehicle for a culture of peace, we can share and exchange ideas that will help each of us to grow and work for peace in our lives and in our world.

If peace becomes popular in cyberspace, it will become popular in the entertainment world. There are hundreds of networks of organizations working for a better world that have connected through cybserpace, such as the Culture of Peace Initiative (www.CultureOfPeace.org). If you have a website, you can help popularize peace. By placing a banner for your favorite peace website on your homepage, visitors to your site will know that a culture of peace is important to you. If you don't have a webpage, think about adding a peace message and a link to a peacesite in your email signature.
